E.I. activities, a perfect complement to your Spanish studies
E.I.’s cultural activities help you discover and experience the diversity of
the cities where our Spanish Language Schools are located. It is the perfect
complement to your Spanish courses, because it gives you the chance to practice
your new language skills in real life situations. Learn about Hispanic culture
and travel while you learn to speak Spanish. It is the best way for you to get
to know your classmates, the country you are visiting and its culture. The
activities are free or at a reduced rate.
A typical monthly program of cultural activities in Spain could include:
- Welcoming party
- Tour of the city
- Videos and documentary films
- Museum visits
- Theater and concerts
- Informal outings with professors
- Spanish songs and games
- Sports activities
- Departure party
Excursions…discover a new country with E.I.
Escuela Internacional organizes excursions to places of historical and
cultural interest. To take full advantage of your spare time during the
weekends, we give you the chance to travel extensively to nearby cities where
you can learn about Hispanic culture, as well as use your new language skills in
authentic contexts. You will be accompanied by an E.I. instructor who will
inform you about the places that you visit on the trip. The cost is low or at a
reduced rate. The excursions provide that extra element to make your stay
memorable and complete.
In Spain you might visit the Roman ruins in Segovia and Mérida, the Medieval
city wall in Avila, the Prado museum in Madrid, El Greco’s house in Toledo, the
palaces of Aranjuez and El Escorial, Seville, Portugal and typical mountain
villages.
In Mexico you might visit Mexico City, the pyramids of San Juan de Teotihuacan,
the Xochicalo archaeological zone, Taxco, Tula, or Puebla.
In Costa Rica you might visit a Volcano, Braulio Carrillo National Park, Orosi
Valley, the Waterfall and Colibiries gardens, or Tortugero National Park.

Travel on your own
You will also have the possibility to travel on your own during the
weekends. The informed and friendly E.I. staff will help you plan your trips and
arrange all your travel details.
Courses with activity program included (Spain)
All E.I. students are invited and encouraged to participate in activities and
excursions planned by the E.I. Spanish schools throughout the year.
However if you are planning to study in Spain during the summer months and you
want to have everything included right from the start, may we suggest our Summer
Spanish Language Programs. The
Summer Intensive Spanish
Course and the
Summer Super-Intensive Spanish
Course include at least 8 activities and 3 excursions in the price of a
4-week course.
