Cuernavaca - Activities and Excursions
In your free time be sure and take advantage of the extra curricular activities and weekend excursions organized by the
Spanish language school in Cuernavaca.
Learn about Mexican culture and travel Mexico while you learn Spanish abroad.
On the first day of classes you will be given a guided tour of Cuernavaca, while the rest of the week is filled with a variety of optional activities that are organized by the
Spanish school to reinforce and help you utilize the Spanish language you have learned in the classroom as well as allow you the chance to learn more about the Mexican culture and get to know the other students at the Center.
The activities are offered in the afternoons and evenings and include cooking and Latin dance classes (salsa and
merengue) at the school, videos in Spanish in the school’s media center, visits to local museums and historical monuments, informal outings to cafes, conferences and lectures about the history, culture, politics, and economics of Mexico, and more.
On the weekends be sure and join us for the teacher guided weekend excursions that are organized by the Center to nearby cities of interest. These include Mexico City, the pyramids of San Juan de
Teotihuacan, the Xochicalo archaeological zone, Taxco, Tula, Puebla, and more. The costs for each excursion could be between $12 and $40 U.S. depending on excursion.
