What is the apartment like?
San Rafael
The student apartments are nicely furnished with 2-3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchenette, living room with television, and washing machine. These apartments are located 2-4 km from the school and will be shared with other international students. The number of roommates will vary depending on the apartment.
You have the option of a single or double room that will be shared with another student. If you will be enrolling with a friend, sibling, or as a couple we can arrange for you to be placed in the same apartment in either a single room each, or together in a double room. The price for the double room is per person.
Tamarindo
We have a nice residence of student apartments located right at the school.
This is probably the most popular accommodation choice for our students
in Tamarindo. The residence consists of 4 large apartments. Each apartment has 2
bedrooms, 1 bath, a kitchen, small eating area and a large living room. Our
students at the residence will share a bedroom with other students and also the
common areas.
The amenities of each of the apartments can best be described as basic, but
nice. We would classify the apartments as having the feel of a nice hostel or
college dorm. Each apartment is completely furnished and each kitchen is fully
stocked so that you can cook your own meals. Each apartment has air conditioning.
There will be
cable and televisions in each apartment in the very near future.
Apartment Conditions
Room occupation:
The room reservation is for the person indicated on the enrollment only. No other person may share the room with the enrolled student. If you would like to have a visitor or other person accompany you, you must notify the school and pay the corresponding fees.
Duration:
The reservation for the apartments works on a weekly basis. For all courses the reservation for the apartment will begin one day before your course starts (Sunday) and end one day after your course finishes (Saturday). If you are going to arrive a few days before your course starts or will be leaving a few days after, please let the E.I. Admissions Office know so we can arrange extra nights for you.
Sheets and Laundry:
San Rafael
You must bring towels and personal belongings. Sheets will be provided. There are washing machines in the apartments for washing clothes.
Tamarindo
Sheets and towels are provided. In the residence apartments the students need
to take care of their own laundry. There are several laundry places to take
clothes.
Cooking:
You have the option of making your own meals in the apartment, since the apartments are equipped for this, or you may eat out in restaurants.
In Tamarindo breakfasts can be pre-arranged with a nearby restaurant for extra
fee.
Cleaning:
In the apartment there is a house cleaning service that includes a change of
linens once a week
